Japanese Maple Tree If I were a Japanese maple tree Oh how beautiful life would be And everything around me passing by And everything around me passing by And everything around me passing by Iʼm so peaceful tonight If I had some money Iʼd take the train Iʼd take it further than far away And everything around me passing by And everything around me passing by And everything around me passing by Iʼm so peaceful tonight and Ooh Life is a little bit like a song Ooh You have the choice would you like to sing along?

Stare Into the Sun My jeans are so blue they remind of you And Iʼm walking with Chippo down the Embarcadero Theyʼre definitely too tight but I guess itʼs alright Itʼs what all the girls wearing and the boys now too My jacketʼs all wrong I just want to belong And I donʼt have a keen sense of what my involvement is Look at my lipstick yea Iʼm so artistic And Iʼm cashinʼ checks as I stare into the sun Gettinʼ real high sometimes I wanna die Then I think of the summer when we were together My skin still smells like the ocean and shell that you gave me have cracked Guess I just throw them back you see Iʼve grown somewhat attached to the hooks that you latched in me Ride me at night like a weak pony prancer Well Iʼm an amoeba a single cell pleaser And Iʼm cashinʼ checks as I stare into the sun My birdie circled head was it something I said Was it just a mistaken dissimulation The dream that we lived in got this great apartment Right next to the deli now it wonʼt write back I wish you would explain all the things you proclaim And they ride me at night like a 25 cent machine Iʼm so smart just look at my art And Iʼm cashinʼ checks as I stare into the sun

Bouquet 04:01
Bouquet Now it is clear Now the sky is blue Now you are here Now our flowers can bloom Now I donʼt fear All the change cominʼ my way Now you are here Now youʼre here to stay We make bouquet Now it is clear Now the sky is blue Now you are here Now you are here Now you are here Now youʼre here to stay We make bouquet

Dear Lieder 02:01
Dear Lieder Longer than the end zone and further than the sea Got my missile pointed right where I want it to be Come in to my garden wonʼt you have a cup of tea? Thereʼs so many things I have to get up off my chest If I blow up everyone I might just get some rest No excuse for weakness in the world of super strength I will be the ruler and Iʼll go the longest length Was that my reflection boy Iʼm really looking great
5.
Life So Far 03:18
Life So Far Youʼre so soon youʼre already over Youʼre so high youʼre already divine I can feel the pressure youʼre under I wish you would leave it behind Come sit down in all of your glory Come sit down and talk to me I want your words in the form of a story I want the gaze you give the sea Please God someone somewhere show me something Right now is the light now so letʼs get to the point A jigger and a joint Take me to the island that I know so well Me and Delcity on the big boulevard Riding down the sidewalk in a shopping cart Feeling pretty good about life so far Feeling pretty good about life, so far Youʼre so strong youʼre already won it Youʼre so deep youʼve already drowned I believe that faith is a pocket What you got there what you found Open up your inundated heart to me The good book says seek and ye shall find Whatʼs the point a jigger and a joint Take me to the island that I know so well Me and Delcity on the big boulevard Riding down the sidewalk in a shopping cart Feeling pretty good about life so far Feelinʼ pretty good about life About life About life About life Yea yea yea yea

Matthew's Wings Send me up on Matthewʼs wings I wanna be with my family Send me in a basket golden Send me to a place where my heart ainʼt broken Way up high or down below It donʼt matter which way I go Thereʼs no sugar in my salt And I know yes I know when itʼs my fault Cause I donʼt wanna lay in my bed in my room in my head I just wanna tell the sky I know how it feels To be that blue, oh yes, I do Cause I donʼt wanna lay in my bed in my body in my head I just wanna tell the sky I know how it feels To be that blue oh yes I do

Situation Station Itʼs days like this in autumn when the air it starts to cool All the leaves are fallen and the children were at school Swaying down the sidewalk people used to say hello One of many pastimes that the future will not know Every evening windinʼ down so unequivocally Not a care to cloud the sky thatʼs how itʼs supposed to be Sitting shotgun looking toward the ride of mystery Station wagon Subaru my brother sis and me Was it happiness or just a smile for mom and dad Were those the best days that I never really had Pressure from the atmosphere has built up over time Troubled by the muffled voice of good ol father truth Never has there ever been a place for me to hide Situation station and Iʼm waiting for a ride I miss those days I miss those days Riding around look what I found A reason to believe in today Oh I miss those days I miss those days Riding around look what I found A reason to believe in today Yea yea yea yea yea yea Yea I miss those days I miss those days Riding around look what I found A reason to believe in today To believe in today (Ah) I need a reason I need a reason Yea I need a reason I need a reason Yea I need a reason I need a reason I need a reason I need a reason

Love Is A Season Calms my worries and my fears And just knowing that heʼs near Makes me feel like summerʼs here All year round For he is with me everywhere In the sea and in the air Troubles no I neednʼt care All year round All year round All year round I have found love is a season All year round Blackout hits I have no power Even in my darkest hour He is the most lovely flower all year round And sometimes heʼs so serious A trait I find mysterious And that suits me Iʼm curious all year round All year round All year round I have found love is a season All year round Winter spring summer fall, heʼs the sky above them all No he never ever lets me down, no he never lets me fall I know heʼs heard it all before But I could never ask for more In a dream or on the floor all year round All year round All year round I have found love is a season All year round All year round All year round I have found love is a season All year round
9.
Coyote Midnight Coast to coast the coast ainʼt clear Some say myth others cry truth Look to the left then at the moon No rest cause the Coyote loose Only comes out after dark All these years without a sound Then out of the blue Heʼs cominʼ for you So look to the sky and hit the ground Coyote midnight last was seen Filling the air with a howlinʼ so serene If heʼs not to blame then why canʼt I escape Why does it still remain the silhouette of his frame Back to back hand in hand Surrounded by a frightened world Then out of the blue It could happen to you So look to the sky and hit the ground The ground The ground Coyote midnight at your door He be cryinʼ like he never cried before If heʼs not to blame then why canʼt I escape Why does it still remain the silhouette of his frame Yea yea Why does it still remain The silhouette the silhouette of his Frame
10.
You Held Me Up I see you in a church With a halo on your head And I think to myself Hallelujah Some days go by fast Pictures and memories last As long as I remember to hold on You held me up so long I see you at the beach With a smile on your face And I think to myself Hallelujah Sure the road does wind Pictures and ripples in time As long as I remember to hold on You held me up so long

about

As anyone who’s caught one of Christina Courtin’s live performances can attest, the critically acclaimed New York City-based singer-songwriter decisively takes over whatever space she’s occupying. Her most recent album Situation Station can best be described as a tapestry of her musical and life experiences. As she weaves together her dual worlds, the singer-songwriter and Juilliard-trained violinist guides listeners through somber plains and heartbreak, all the while surrounding them with warmth, joy, and hope.
